I love jesters, harlequins and clowns. If you wonder why, read "Something October" in
Strange Attraction -- Bereshith 2000.
I've done some digging, and learned that
sometimes, the court jester was actually more clever than the royalty he served, and that
sometimes was even a subtle (he had to be careful not to lose his head!) political
commentator. Sort of like Jon Stewart. These guys were not necessarily fools...
My agent sent these jesters to a major company (initials F. M.) . They hemmed and hawed
and talked about them in a meeting. Then they told my agent that the jesters
'demanded too much from the audience'. (God forbid anyone have to think) That,
if Lisa will make the jesters sweeter and dumber, they would take them.
